THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GAINSFORD (S Veale) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	THEFUTUREISBRIGHT (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Due to a technical issue with the starting stalls, a manual start was effected. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator.
b)	As a consequence of the slow early pace, THEFUTUREISBRIGHT (G van Niekerk) was allowed to race around runners and to the front of the field leaving the 1900m.
c)	LOVE IS A ROSE (C Orffer) was hanging out from the 250m.
d)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with THEFUTUREISBRIGHT. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey A Andrews reported that CORONATION TIME felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	LOVE IS A ROSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (TJ)
