Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THISISWHATITMEANS (M Yeni) reared in the starting stalls and got its left front leg caught over the partition of stall gate number 5. This gelding was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, and passed fit to race. Thereafter THISISWHATITMEANS refused to load and was subsequently withdrawn by the Starter. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GOOD TRAVELLER (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 150m. b) Shortly before the finish CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL (*S Hlengwa) was momentarily inconvenienced when close to the heels of SUN BLUSHED (R A Venniker) which was hanging out from the 200m and rolled out. c) In view of the performance of AFRICAN SKYLINE (A Mgudlwa) (6.55 lengths and 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to THISISWHATITMEANS (M Yeni), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable on a race day with a companion. Suspension dates: 15.04.24 to the 21.04.24. THISISWHATITMEANS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P B Muscutt was advised. (BN) e) SUN BLUSHED (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich acting on behalf of Trainer M L Roberts advised (NS).
