THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	SHONA KIRSTY YVES (R A Venniker) was stubborn to load.
b)	HARLEY'S FATE (M Yeni) was stubborn to load. Trainer N Kotzen will be advised to re-school this filly.
c)	SHANTA'S PRIDE (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls. Lost 1 length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Jockey C Maujean reported that the saddle on EMERALD GREEN slipped backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the patrol films.
b)	At the 300m, HARLEY'S FATE (M Yeni) which had come to the end of its run, had to steady when bumped out onto the heels of SHONA KIRSTY YVES (R Venniker) by PRITTI VICTORY (*B Plaatjies) which shifted out off the heels of TWINKLELITTLESTAR (T Godden), to obtain a clear run.
c)	At the 150m, NELLIE MELBA (C Zackey) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of EMERALD GREEN (C Maujean) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. As a consequence, MAGGIE SMITH (C Habib) after being carried out by NELLIE MELBA (C Zackey), had to be steadied to avoid running onto the heels of SHANTA'S PRIDE (R Fourie) which rolled inwards.   
d)	Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with HARLEY'S FATE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	Apprentice M Mbuto reported that A TIME TO DANCE took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	In view of the performance of FAR HORIZON (A Mgudlwa) (11.20 lengths, 25/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested examine.
g)	PRITTI VICTORY (*B Plaatjies), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (NS).
