b) Jockey R Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of GRAZINGINTHEGRASS he misused his crop by striking GRAZINGINTHEGRASS more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey R Fourie signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2000,00.
c) Trainer SB Kotzen was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that she failed to ensure that INDY VIEW was presented in the security area at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the fifth (5th) race. Stable Employee M Cloete, acting on behalf of Trainer SB Kotzen, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer SB Kotzen was fined R1 000,00.
d) Trainer AC Greeff was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he failed to ensure that GLOBAL ALLY was correctly equipped when presented in the parade ring. Assistant Trainer GLA Greeff, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer AC Greeff was given a warning.
e) GRAZINGINTHEGRASS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer GLA Greeff, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM)
