THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LUCK STRUCK (S Fortune) and DINERO (S Naidoo) were stubborn loading.
b)	ASINANTANGA (C Zackey), CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (MK Katjedi) and VILA FOZ (DB Geerthsen) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	VILA FOZ (DB Geerthsen) was bumped out by ANCHOR MAN (G Wright) shortly after the start.
b)	AMERICAN PITBULL (J Gates) stumbled shortly after the start. Thereafter, this gelding was bumped out by 	CLIFFIE CLAVIN (C Maujean), which was carried out by CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (MK Katjedi), which jumped 	out.
c)	BROOKSIDER (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	At approximately the 1300m CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (MK Katjedi) had to be steadied off the heels of 	AMERICAN PITBULL (J Gates), which shifted inwards sharply. Thereafter, at the 1200m, BROOKSIDER (L 	Mxothwa) had to check when awkwardly placed on the heels of AMERICAN PITBULL (J Gates), which 	continued to shift in.
	Jockey J Gates was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of AMERICAN PITBULL, 	he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BROOKSIDER at the 1200m. Jockey J Gates 	signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 14/03/2025 to `	20/03/2025, both dates inclusive) 
e)	ASINANTANGA (C Zackey) was hanging in from approximately the 300m and was corrected.
f)	CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (MK Katjedi) had to be switched out to obtain clear running at approximately the 	300m.
g)	ANCHOR MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JL van Heerden 	was advised. (LM)
h)	ASINANTANGA, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
