THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LADY CHATTERLEY (K Minnie), THE LADY LOVE (R Fourie) and KILEIGH'S FATE (P Mxoli) were slow into stride.	 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	On arriving at the start Jockey D Schwarz expressed concern with MEDITERANEANGODDES's action while proceeding to the start. This mare was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race.
b)	After being slow to begin, KILEIGH'S FATE (P Mxoli) was steadied and lost position when close to the heels of MISS SHAIVI (M Yeni) shortly after the start.
c)	VARIETY BREEZE (*DB Geerthsen) was hanging in from the 500m.
d)	KILMONIVAIG (R Danielson) was hanging out and shifted out from the 150m.
e)	The saddle on MISS SHAIVI (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
f)	Jockey K Minnie reported that LADY CHATTERLEY changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	Jockey D Schwarz reported that MEDITERANEANGODDES did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
h)	KILMONIVAIG, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised. (LM)
