THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STARS IN HEAVEN (JP van der Merwe) was restless in the stalls. b) DAISY DUKE (J Solomons) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the front gate leaving the stalls. Thereafter, DAISY DUKE (J Solomons) made contact with MISS LEMONADE (M Mjoka) which, in turn, made contact with TWENTYTWENTYVISION (L Mxothwa). c) KING VISERYS (K Steyn) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (G Wright) refused to load on the transport and was withdrawn. This gelding is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as he proves tractable to load on the horse transport. b) After jumping awkwardly outwards, DAISY DUKE (J Solomons) hung out throughout the race and proved difficult to ride. c) STARS IN HEAVEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl was advised.
