Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	AUGUSTA BLUE (G Wright) and LE LEGIONNAIRE (B Fayd'Herbe) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, FAIRE ADVANTAGE cast its right front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay.
b)	At the 800m UNICORN ALERT (JP van der Merwe) was carried wide on the turn for a number of strides by SHAVOUT (A Arries), which shifted out away from the inside running rail.
c)	At the 350m NAUSHON (O Noach) had to be steadied for a number of strides when unable to secure a clear run between FAIRE ADVANTAGE (C Orffer) and BATON ROUGE (K Steyn), which was directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the outside and close to the heels of UNICORN ALERT (JP van der Merwe). Shortly thereafter, NAUSHON (O Noach) was directed outwards and into clear running.
d)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that MOONACRES choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	ALL ABOUT RONNIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D McLachlan was advised. (SC)
