THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WHY MADERA (D Daniels) was eased out of the race from the 600m and thereafter the colt was reported to have something amiss in running. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. b) CITRUSDAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Stidolph advised (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) CITRUSDAL (R Danielson) raced without steel shoes and equipped with alumites. b) BUGATTI BLUE (P Mxoli) raced with earmuffs on. c) WHY MODERNA (D Daniels) raced with a compression mask on and without blinkers. d) ZAZU (M Nyamagwete) raced with a compression mask on. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) WHY MADERA was examined post race and nothing onbious was detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
