Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 1400m the saddle on FAIZAH (N Patel) slipped back significantly. As a consequence, this filly reacted to the saddle slipping backwards and shifted out sharply towards the outside of the racecourse. This resulted in CAPETOWN BEAUTY (M Yeni) being carried out significantly by FAIZAH (N Patel) and shortly thereafter Jockey N Patel was dislodged. As a result of this incident DANSE MILORD (D De Gouveia) was carried wide and steadied. The on-course paramedics attended to Jockey Patel immediately and transferred him to the medical centre for further observation. b) Approaching the 300m ZINIKELE (A Mgudlwa) was brushed in by SIGN OF FATE (*S Hlengwa) which rolled in. Thereafter, at the 200m SIGN OF FATE was brushed out by ZINIKELE (A Mguldwa) which was hanging out. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that CAPETOWN BEAUTY did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of ICE SUNSATION (R A Venniker) (4.65 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SOLDIER'S EYE (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) AISLING raced equipped with blinkers and a compression mask (advised 19.04.2024/10h34). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) FAIZAH : Cut left front and not striding out right front. b) CAPETOWN BEAUTY : Not striding out right front. c) ICE SUNSATION : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) MAGICAL FLIGHT : No transport (Trainer - 17.04.2024/13h39). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
