THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INNER SENSE (M Mjoka) refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay. b) TELIO (R Khathi) was slow into stride. c) BLACK PATH (J Solomons) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GRANDIOSA (A Domeyer) had to be re-saddled prior to leaving the parade ring, causing a delay. b) UNITED WE STAND (G van Niekerk) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) BLACK PATH (J Solomons) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight. d) TICKING BOMB (C Zackey) was hanging out in the straight. e) Jockey O Noach (LITTLE MISS PINK) dropped his crop leaving the 100m. f) Jockey R Khathi reported that TELIO did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding INNER SENSE (M Mjoka), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 25/04/2024 to 01/05/2024 inclusive). INNER SENSE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) GRANDIOSA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
