THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WIND WATER (K Matsunyane) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey G Lerena (KARANGETANG) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that KARANGETANG did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that WIND WATER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) DREAMLAND (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MS).
