THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	CAPE LIGHTS (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	OCTOBER FAIR (M Yeni) and FLAMBOYANT FLYER (*M K Katjedi) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c)	JUST BE NICE (P Mxoli) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
d)	BONIKA (K A Brewer) was slow losing two lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, JUST BE NICE (P Mxoli) jumped awkwardly outwards, making contact with the left-side gate. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.	
b)	Shortly after the start, ESCAPE ARTIST (*S Sosibo) was brushed out by SHARAPOVA (M van Rensburg), which was bumped out by OCTOBER FAIR (M Yeni), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	WORK OF TIME (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early stages. 
d)	SHARAPOVA (M van Rensburg) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
e)	HEART PEAKS (S Khumalo) shifted in both ways away from the crop from the 300m. 	
f)	At approximately the 300m, FLAMBOYANT FLYER (*M K Katjedi) was steadied when in restricted galloping room between OCTOBER FAIR (M Yeni), which shifted out marginally, and KISSING MACHINE (R Fourie), which showed a tendency to hang in and rolled in slightly. 
g)	In view of the performance of WORK OF TIME (K Matsunyane), (distance 7,25 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.	
h)	HEART PEAKS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
