Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OVER THE MOON (X Ndlovu) was stubborn loading. b) CARVED IN STONE (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The saddle on BEST INTENTIONS (C Zackey) slipped back slightly leaving the stalls. This was confirmed on the video evidence. b) BEST INTENTIONS (C Zackey) was hanging out from the 300m. c) In view of the performance of CARVED IN STONE (C Maujean) which, after being slow to begin trailed the field throughout, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding OVER THE MOON (X Ndlovu), Trainer SB Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) HAVANA GREY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
