THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MASTERFUL GUY (G van Niekerk) was reluctant to load.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
 
a)	DEAN STREET (A Marcus) was hanging in badly throughout and proved difficult to assist. As a consequence, LYRICS TO LOVE (L Mxothwa) had to steady to avoid the heels of BOWLED OVER (G Cheyne) which was carried inwards at the 900m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine DEAN STREET. Trainer L Woodruff was advised that this gelding's racing manners had come under notice, both in the parade ring and during the race and that she is required to take the necessary measures to ensure that the gelding is tractable and keeps on a straight course in races.
b)	DOG DETACHMENT (+B Ncwadi) shifted out away from the crop and covered significant ground in the closing stages. Work Rider B Ncwadi was advised, through riding master Mr Craig du Plooy, that he should take the necessary measures to ensure that his mounts keep to a straight course and do not cover unnecessary ground in races.
c)	THE TINKERMAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
