THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING OF KILDARE (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls. b) WINDS OF CHANGE (R A Venniker) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) CHIEFTAIN (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, PROCEED (R Fourie) and WINDS OF CHANGE (R A Venniker), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, came together and bumped. b) In view of the performance of KING OF KILDARE (M Yeni), (distance 13,50 lengths, betting 25/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) PROCEED (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
