THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIYARANI (S Moodley) lost 3 lengths. b) EXODUS SONG (C Zackey) and REGINA MARIS (M Yeni) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) REGINA MARIS (M Yeni) proved difficult when proceeding to the start. Trainer D Howells was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in the future, it may be suspended. b) DIYARANI (S Moodley) raced green. c) QUEEN'S EXPRESS (T Godden) was hanging in throughout. d) THE QUEEN BEE (G Lerena) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. e) Jockey M Yeni reported that REGINA MARIS raced green and took no interest in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) DISTING (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
