THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start MICKE'S BOMB (M Yeni) was buffeted between HOT PEARL (C Habib) and WAR EMPRESS (C Maujean). b) At approximately the 450m WAR EMPRESS (C Maujean), which was hanging in, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of FAR HORIZON (A Mgudlwa). c) HOT PEARL (C Habib) was hanging out from the 300m to the 200m. d) In view of the performance of WAR EMPRESS (C Maujean) (4.70 lengths, 33/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) HOT PEARL (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
