THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FLYING DRAGON (M Thackeray) and FLORAL FANTASY (A Mgudlwa) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) Leaving the 300m CANFORD QUEEN (R Fourie) was briefly carried out by LEMON SCENT (D Daniels) which rolled out. c) Shortly before the finish LEMON SCENT (D Daniels) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between CITY LIGHTS (C Maujean) and CANFORD QUEEN (R Fourie), which rolled in. d) In view of the performance of NTOMBENHLE (S Khumalo) (5.20 lengths, 2/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CANFORD QUEEN (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
