THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SLINKY MAPIMPI (P Strydom) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARD S REPORTED: a) At approximately the 400m, FUTUREWOLFF (D De Gouveia) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between DUNGEONS (C Zackey) and TROIS TROIS QUATRE (R Fourie), which hung in. b) CLARKSON (K Matsunyane) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m. c) Approaching the 200m, GREENBACKCURRENCY (*K J Lihaba) was carried out by SLINKY MAPIMPI (P Strydom), which shifted out away from the crop. d) At approximately the 150m, DUNGEONS (C Zackey), which was carried out by GREENBACKCURRENCY (*K J Lihaba), which shifted out away from the crop, was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of and CLARKSON (K Matsunyane) and TROIS TROIS QUATRE (R Fourie). e) At approximately the 150m, THE BRIEF (S Khumalo) was brushed out and carried out MASTER ARIANO (C Habib), which rolled out and was immediately corrected. f) MASTER ARIANO (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) FUTUREWOLFF raced with a cornell collar (declared 24 February 2024).
