THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) BONETE (P Strydom) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
b) CELESTIAL CITY (K Matsunyane) and TAMARISK TREE (K A Brewer) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) As the start was effected, OPEN HIGHWAY (C Maujean) took an awkward stride and stumbled when bumped by TAMIL TIGRESS (N Klink), which was brushed in by BONETE (P Strydom), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
b) Jockey R Danielson reported that THE FRONT LINE did not stride out freely in running.

c) Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with BONETE in running.
