Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAINING RUBIES (*M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) GODSPEED (D Schwarz) jumped inwards leaving the stalls, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TIME TO THE MOON (*N Nastili) was unruly and refused to proceed to the start despite the assistance of a lead horse and the encouragement from Apprentice N Nastili. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as she proves tractable cantering to the start on a raceday. Assistant Trainer W Marwing, acting on behalf of Trainer W H Marwing, was advised (GF). b) On arrival at the start, REDCHERRY LANE (P Mxoli) broke free from the lead horse, dislodged Jockey P Mxoli and bolted through the running rail at the rear of the stalls. This filly was taken in hand, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, and subsequently scratched. c) As the start was effected, SIMPLY MAGIC (K Matsunyane), GREEN FLASH (D De Gouveia), CITYSCAPE (M Yeni) and WAR QUEEN (R Danielson) were carried in by RAINING RUBIES (*M K Katjedi), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) GODSPEED (D Schwarz), after being slow away, failed to muster speed and trailed the field throughout. e) Jockey N Klink (BOOM BOOM) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey N Klink reported that BOOM BOOM did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) Jockey R Danielson (WAR QUEEN) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey R Danielson reported that WAR QUEEN changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that GREEN FLASH did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. h) WHERE'S THE PARTY (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GODSPEED: Jockey D Schwarz weighed out at 57,4kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) WAR QUEEN raced with a tongue tie on (declared 3 May 2024 at 09H10). b) GODSPEED raced equipped with a compression mask and ear muffs (declared 3 May 2024 at 11H20).
