THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RINGHO (*K J Lihaba) was stubborn loading. Trainer C I Jonker was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of SOMEDAY MAYBE (S Khumalo) which, after racing prominently up until the 400m, commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) SOVEREIGNS CALL (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SOMEDAY MAYBE: Jockey S Khumalo weighed out at 54,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared. b) KIT KAT KATIE: Jockey J R Syster weighed out at 52.8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. c) RINGHO: Apprentice K J Lihaba weighed out at 53,1kg, 1kg over the carded weight.
