THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS PLATINA (R A Venniker) was stubborn to load. b) LET'S GO NOW (S Khumalo) lost 1 length. c) WHITE PEARL (J P v'd Merwe) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (R Fourie) raced wide of the field in the early stages. b) From the 200m RASCOVA (C Zackey) and DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (R Fourie) raced in close proximity to each other. c) In the concluding stages SOVEREIGN GRANT (T Godden) which was hanging out from the 200m and CELTIC BEAUTY (S Veale) which rolled in, came together and brushed. This resulted in CELTIC BEAUTY (S Veale) becoming unbalanced. d) Shortly before the finish SOLDIER'S EYE (*K J Lihaba) which was hanging out and LET'S GO NOW (S Khumalo) which shifted in away from the crop, came together and brushed. e) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss in the running with LET'S GO NOW. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of BOMBER GIRL (18,00 lengths, 100/1 in the running), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MISS PLATINA (R A Venniker), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 09.05.2024 to the 15.05.2024. MISS PLATINA may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
