THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MANHATTEN CAFE (D Dillon) and STAR CRUSADE (S Moodley) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 100m, COMMAND COUNCIL (K Sakayi) was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of VELVET SEASON (*S Hlengwa) which shifted out away from the crop from the 150m. Apprentice S Hlengwa (VELVET SEASON) appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take the necessary corrective measures timeously to straighten his mounts when riding in races in future. b) QUERARI'S COWBOY (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
