THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, THE WORK OF LIFE (R Danielson) broke through the starting stalls. b) During the loading process, HARTENBOS (N Klink) kicked the back gates. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process THE WORK OF LIFE (R Danielson) became restless, broke through the front of the stalls, was restrained by its Rider, returned to the start, checked by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) ULTIMATE JEWEL (D Daniels), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised. (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Jockey R Danielson the rider of THE WORK OF LIFE (SA), weighed out at 57,6kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. b) Jockey G Lerena the rider of SILENT POWER, weighed out at 57,4kg, 2kg over the carded weight of which 1,5kg was declared.
