THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LINGOTTO (C F Dicken), ELI'S CHARIOT (D De Gouveia), INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH (C Zackey) and GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (A Mgudlwa) were stubborn to load. b) INDUSTRIALSTRENGH (C Zackey) and GREENLIGHT EXPRESS (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length. c) ELI'S CHARIOT (D De Gouveia) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FUTURE FLO (R A Venniker) over-raced in the early stages. Thereafter this gelding hung in from the 400m. b) At the 1000m BURNING MAN (*B Plaatjies) and MAGIC PRINCE (T Godden) came together and brushed. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that ROTOTO made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon requested to examine. d) THE SPECIALIST (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal advised (NS).
