a)	Shortly after the start MUCHO DINERO (K Matsunyane) which was slow into stride, was squeezed out. 
b)	At the 600m SAFE PASSAGE (M Yeni) was switched out and attempted to improve around the field. 
c)	At the 250m MUCHO DINERO (K Matsunyane) was carried in marginally by WITHOUT QUESTION (R A Venniker) which was hanging in from the 350m.
d)	Jockey C F Dicken reported that RIVER ROMEO did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	FUTURE SWING (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer G Terzi acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith advised (NS).
