THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	UNITED WE STAND (A Arries) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
b)	DESERTO (M Mjoka)  and SONG TO THE MOON (S Veale) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 600m MISS LEMONADE (J Solomons) shifted out and made contact with DESERTO (M Mjoka) when steadied away from the heels of ALLEY OF FACT (M Winnaar).
b)	Approaching the 400m MISS LEMONADE (J Solomons) rolled out and made contact with DESERTO (M Mjoka) when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALLEY OF FACT (M Winnaar), which commenced to give ground to the field quickly. Thereafter, ALLEY OF FACT (M Winnaar) was not persevered with. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	KING VISERYS (K Steyn) was hanging in from the 400m.
d)	UNITED WE STAND (A Arries) was hanging out in the latter stages.
e)	Jockey R Khathi reported that WORLDLY choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
f)	Jockey C Bantam was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on MISS LEMONADE, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey C Bantam signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2 000.00.
g)	TAMBOURINE MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AN Marcus was advised. (WM)
