THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SPIRIT IN THE WIND (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, OXALIS GOLD (M van Rensburg) was bumped by BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (C Zackey), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) RAINBOW RIVER (R Fourie), BERRIESOFTHESTRAW (C Zackey) and TWOSTEP QUEEN (J R Syster) over-raced in the early stages. c) OXALIS GOLD (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P D Lhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SPIRIT IN THE WIND was ridden by Jockey S Moodley (declared 12 May 2024 at 11H43).
