COURAGEOUS (S KHUMALO) PROVED RELUCTANT PROCEEDING TO THE START. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ACROSS THE POND (J R Syster) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	COURAGEOUS (S Khumalo) proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a Handler. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as she proves tractable cantering to the start on a raceday. Trainer C Dawson advised (AH).
b)	ALPHABETTY (J Gates) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	SOUND MACHINE (C Habib) hung in from the 300m, thereafter this filly shifted in sharply away from the crop in the concluding stages. 
d)	An inquiry will be opened to establish why GREEN BUBBLES (*N Nastili) had to ease at the 300m.
e)	CEUTA (G Lerena) hung in from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that this filly took a number of awkward strides in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
f)	Jockey	S Khumalo reported that COURAGEOUS took no interest in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	Jockey	Wes Marwing reported that SUPERSKITT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 			
h)	SOUND MACHINE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
