THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALWAYS SHINING (R A Venniker) was restless in the stalls and lost 1 length. b) TURBO VEE EIGHT (*S Hlengwa) and STRICTLY MAMBO (D Daniels) Lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) STRICTLY MAMBO (D Daniels), which was hanging out in the early and middle stages and raced wide, raced detached from the field throughout. b) RED MOUNTAIN (S Moodley) raced wide around the turn. c) In the concluding stage CAPTAIN MARSALA (G Lerena) was brushed in by MC DAZZLER (C Zackey), which shifted in marginally. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that BREATH OF MAGIC took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) RUN TO RIO (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S H Ferrie advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) STRICTLY MAMBO raced equipped with cheek pieces (Advised 15.05.24/08h07). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) None.
