THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 400m THE CHARLESTON (M Winnaar) was steadied briefly when racing in restricted galloping room between HIGHLYCONFIDENTIAL (JP van der Merwe) and SPEEDING BULLET (X Carstens).
b)	At the 100m KYALAMI GIRL (A Andrews), which was initially carried outwards from the 250m, had to be checked away from the heels of MOJO MAN (A Arries). An Inquiry will be held into this incident.
c)	MOJO MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
