ON ARRIVAL AT THE START, BLOOMINGTON (S KHUMALO) WAS SUBJECT TO A VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. THEREAFTER, ON COMMENCEMENT OF THE LOADING PROCESS, FREE MOVEMENT (K A BREWER) WHICH WAS UNRULY, REFUSED TO LOAD AND WAS WITHDRAWN. THESE INCIDENTS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN OF GRIT (C Habib) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer A P Peter was advised (PHvdW). b) FREE MOVEMENT (K A Brewer) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer R R Sage was advised (PHvdW).
