THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE GHOST (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls and fly-jumped leaving the stalls. b) BALTIC ASSAYER (M Yeni) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BALTIC ASSAYER (M Yeni) was hanging out around the turn. b) LADY ELI MO (*K J Lihaba) was hanging out throughout and raced wide on the latter part of the turn. c) Apprentice K J Lihaba reported that his saddle slipped sideways in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. d) A race review was called into the start of this race with regard to THE GHOST (G Lerena) in stall gate number 3. After reviewing the video evidence the Board was satisfied that this was a fair start and no further action was taken. e) BLOWIN IN THE WIND was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2. testing. The first specimen analysed at 10h46 revealed a level of over 35 TCO2. mmol/L. Trainer A Wright was advised that, in terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen would be collected. Trainer Wright was informed that the second blood specimen, analysed at 11h02 had revealed a level above the international threshold of 36 mmol/L and that consequently BLOWIN IN THE WIND was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18. (Withdrawn at 11h11, 20/1 in the betting). f) IZIBULO was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2. testing. The first specimen analysed at 10h50 revealed a level of over 35 TCO2. mmol/L.
