THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PERFECT WITNESS (D De Gouveia) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) FUTURE GIRL (*M K Katjedi) and HOLD MY HAND (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 200m SAARTJIE (C Orffer) was steadied when awkwardly placed between HOLD MY HAND (C Zackey) which shifted in marginally away from the crop and was straightened, and BEATING WINGS (C Habib) which shifted out marginally away from the crop and was straightened. b) At the 200m PERFECT WITNESS (D De Gouveia) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of BELLEVARDE (S Moodley), which had tired and come to the end of its run. c) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why GILDED BUTTERFLY (G Lerena) had to ease leaving the 300m. d) SILVER SANCTUARY (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
