THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1400m SIGN OF FATE (*S Hlengwa) which commenced to over-race, ran onto and clipped the heels of LADY HEIST (C Habib). b) At the 200m DANSE MILORD (M V'Rensburg) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of SOVEREIGN GRANT (T Godden) which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. c) ROCKIE REEF (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 200m. d) Jockey S Veale reported that CALA MURETTA took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) THAT'S MY BABY (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (NS).
