THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process DOIN' TIME (R Fourie) reacted to AND ACTION (C Habib) rushing the starting stall gates which resulted in Jockey R Fourie being dislodged. Jockey R Fourie was attended to by the course paramedics and passed fit to race. DOIN' TIME was unloaded and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race, and reloaded. Thereafter DOIN' TIME (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. b) CAPTAIN JIM (S Moodley) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) AND ACTION (C Habib) was hanging in from the 300m. b) Apprentice K J Lihaba's (MAGIC PRINCE) crop was accidentally struck from his hand by Jockey T Godden (MISTER NIBBLES) at the 200m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that GLAMORZ took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of DOIN' TIME (R Fourie) (13.55 lengths and 33/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CAPTAIN JIM (S Moodley), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 28/05/2024 to the 03/06/2024 bdi. CAPTAIN JIM may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer F P Habib was advised. (SL) f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning CAPTAIN JIM, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
