THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PRINCESS AZARIAH (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	GUNSMOKE (R Danielson) jumped slow, losing one length.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MY AMI BEACH (*AR Al-Mansouri) was squeezed out shortly after the start.
b)	MISTER WHISTLE (K Steyn) brushed the inside running rail leaving the 1200m.
c)	SWISS WALT (P Mxoli) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	CLAP OF THUNDER (M van Rensburg) had difficulty securing clear running between the 250m and the 100m.
e)	Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with PRINCESS AZARIAH and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	Jockey R Danielson reported that GUNSMOKE did not stride out freely and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	In view of the performance of MY AMI BEACH (*AR Al-Mansouri), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
h)	Trainer Z Oosthuizen was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that he failed to ensure that WIND SOCK was presented in the security area at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the eighth (8th) race. Trainer Z Oosthuizen signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R2 500,00.
i)	MY BEST SHOT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM)
