THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOOD SHINE (C Orffer), WINTER EMERALDS (JP van der Merwe) and DIABLO (M Mjoka) jumped slow, losing one length b) BOUNCEBACK (G van Niekerk) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races. b) Approaching the 600m DIABLO (M Mjoka) got its head up when steadied away from the heels of ARBITRATION (R Fourie). During this incident, the saddle on DIABLO slipped forward slightly, placing Jockey M Mjoka at a disadvantage. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. c) BAGATELLE FLASH (C Zackey) was hanging out from the 400m. d) AIR RAID, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
