THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NILE THE BOSS (K Steyn) and TEQUILA SKY (C Orffer) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, TEQUILA SKY (C Orffer) was carried inwards and made contact with NILE THE BOSS (K Steyn) when HEAR MY VOICE (D Ashby) shifted in and had to be straightened. Jockey D Ashby (HEAR MY VOICE) appeared before the Board and was advised that, in similar circumstances, the Stewards expect him to straighten his mounts sooner than he had on this occasion. b) Jockey C Orffer reported that TEQUILA SKY felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) SHE'S MY CAPTAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee R Fredericks, acting on behalf of Trainers H Crawford/M Rix, was advised.
