Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMMAH (M Yeni) and TOP GUN (*B Plaatjies) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) As the start was effected TOP GUN (*B Plaatjies) jumped awkwardly, which resulted in Apprentice B Plaatjies losing the footing to his left-side stirrup iron which he was unable to regain. This placed Apprentice Plaatjies at a disadvantage as he was unable to assist TOP GUN in the running of this race. b) INGQWELE (D Daniels) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) Jockey A Mgudlwa (MY GOLLY MOLLY) was dislodged in the pull-up area. He was attended to by the course paramedics and transported to the medical centre for further assessment, this precluded him from weighing in. d) ISIVIVANE (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ICY BLAST raced without blinkers (advised 04.03.2025/10h13). b) Apprentice B Plaatjies (claiming 2.5kg) was the rider of TOP GUN (advised 07.03.2025/07h48). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) IMMAH : Fatigued. b) MY GOLLY MOLLY : Not striding out right front. THE MEDICAL OFFICER REPORTED : a) Jockey A Mgudlwa was stood down after the running of this race with a soft tissue injury. Rule 25.12 was not applied.
