THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMPERIOUS DESTINY (R A Venniker) fly jumped leaving the starting stalls. b) LIGHT OF DAY (C Maujean) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with DAME MAZONA in the running, and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey S Khumalo signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.4, in that as the rider of WOODLAND GLADE, he weighed out more than 0.5kgs over the carded weight. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R 1000 was imposed. c) VIHAAN'S QUEEN (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
