THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BELLA BOOP BOOP (C Maujean) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) GINGER DELIGHT (C Habib) and PEARLY ASH (M Yeni) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) EXCEEDINGLY GLAM (G Lerena) raced green. b) EXECUTRIX (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middles stages. c) RULER OF JUSTICE (C Zackey) hung out from the 400m. d) The saddle on PEARLY ASH (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by an Official. e) In view of the performance of SILVER PARASOL (D De Gouveia), (distance 15,75 lengths, betting 5/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer A G Laird was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of SILVER PARASOL on return to stables. f) GINGER DELIGHT (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
