THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ACCUMULATE (*B Plaatjies) and WALKIE TALKIE (S Moodley) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start ACCUMULATE (*B Plaatjies) and WALKIE TALKIE (S Moodley) came together and bumped. b) Between the 400m and the 300m SWEETER THAN HONEY (R A Venniker) and CUPID'S WAY (C Habib) came together and brushed on two occasions. c) SILVER JUBILEE was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2. testing. The first specimen analysed at 15h37 revealed a level of over 35 TCO2. mmol/L. Trainer B D Botes was advised that, in terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen would be collected. Trainer B D Botes was informed that the second blood specimen, analysed at 15h53 had revealed a level above the international threshold of 36 mmol/L and that consequently SILVER JUBILEE was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18.
