Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) was restless in the stalls.
b)	FAIRFIELD (R Khathi), GUSTO GIRL (X Carstens) and UNITED WE STAND (A Arries) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, Jockey C Bantam was unbalanced when BLIND FAITH shifted out sharply. As a consequence, BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) lost ground and had to take up a position at the rear of the field in the early stages.
b)	UNITED WE STAND (A Arries) pulled hard in the early stages.
c)	At the 1100m the bit on KAAPSE HOOP (A Andrews), which was hanging out, was pulled through this filly's mouth. Thereafter, KAAPSE HOOP (A Andrews) continued to hang out, proved difficult to assist and was eased out of the race in the latter stages. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon.
d)	NATIONAL DISGRACE (L Mxothwa) was hanging out from the 400m.
e)	In view of the performance of PINK MOON (G Wright), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey M Mjoka being unable to weigh out at the carded weight on TRUE HORIZON.
g)	ROCKING PEONIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (TJ)

a)	TICKING BOMB raced with a compression mask, cheek pieces and a tongue tie (declared 08h48 on 20240610)
b)	BEST THING EVER raced with a tongue tie (declared 09h33 on 20240608)
c)	M Mjoka (TRUE HORIZON) rode +2kg of which 0.5kg was carded (53.8kgs) The Stewards, in consultation with Trainer AN Marcus, allowed this overweight in terms of Rule 59.9
