THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOT THE WORD (*S Hlengwa) lost 1 length. b) TWOCANTANGO (S Moodley) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start GOT THE WORD (*S Hlengwa) and ANT DYNASTY (C Zackey) came together and bumped. b) At the 700m ANT DYNASTY (C Zackey) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of MOVE TO PROVE (G Wright) which rolled in and was immediately corrected and rolled out. Jockey G Wright appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that his mounts are sufficiently clear when shifting ground in races in future. c) Jockey M Yeni (HELSINKI) accidentally dropped his crop leaving the 100m. d) MO KING (R A Venniker) began to shift out away from the crop from the 100m. Thereafter HELSINKI (M Yeni) and MO KING (R A Venniker) shifted out independently over the final 50m. e) Trainer D Bosch was questioned regarding the improved performance of MO KING as compared to this gelding's recent performances. He attributed the improvement shown to MO KING having its second run today after a break to allow time to recover from an injury. The Board noted this explanation, and the future performances of MO KING will be monitored. f) HELSINKI (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P V Lafferty advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey A Mgudlwa was the rider of BOMBER STREAM (advised 12.06.2024/06h57).
