THE STARTER REPORTED A) CAN COL, KHAYA'S HOPE and FORBIDDEN BEAST were stubborn loading, slow away and lost 1 length respectively. B) LADYHAWKE and ORANGE RED were stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) KHAYA'S HOPE (R Munger) was hanging in, in the latter stages. B) ORANGE RED (*K A Brewer) and SEISMIC EVENT (W Agrella) raced green. C) In view of the performance of FORBIDDEN BEAST (G Cheyne) (distance 15.00 - betting 5/2) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer A C Greeff was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this colt on return to the stables. D) The winner KHAYA'S HOPE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM).
