THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHEEZAROCKET (R A Venniker) and ROY TAKING OFF (N Patel) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 800m SWEET DREAMER (R Fourie) which raced green, was inconvenienced when momentarily tightened between UBUKHWEBEZANA (M V'Rensburg) and the inside running rail. b) At the 300m UBUKHWEBEZANA (M V'Rensburg) was switched to the inside of ROSA OSIRIA (D De Gouveia) to obtain a clear run. Simultaneously ROSA OSIRIA (D De Gouveia) which had come to the end of its run and was hanging in, rolled in and was immediately corrected, carrying UBUKHWEBEZANA (M V'Rensburg) in. As a result ROY'S DAISY (A Mgudlwa) and in turn SWEET DREAMER (R Fourie) were carried in. c) At the 100m SHEEZAROCKET (R A Venniker) was switched to the inside of ROSA OSIRIA (D De Gouveia) to continue its run. d) UBUKHWEBEZANA (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
