THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOVEREIGN STATE (C Habib) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GET IMPRESSED (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages proving difficult to assist. Thereafter this gelding was hanging in, in the concluding stages. b) PERFECTION (S Khumalo) raced wide around the latter part of the turn and compounded in the straight. Thereafter Jockey S Khumalo reported this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) LADY HEIST (K Matsunyane) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE (R Fourie) (5.65 lengths, 2/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) GET IMPRESSED (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
